Calvary Baptist Church of Somerset, KY welcomes all who walk through our doors. We have a deep connection within our congregation as we share our love for God. Calvary believes that salvation comes through your faith in Jesus Christ. The trinity, which is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit are all one.To be saved, one must believe in the birth of Jesus, and His crucifixion, burial, and the resurrection on the third day.

Once you step inside, you become more than a guest, you become part of our church family. Our church is dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ to our community and beyond. We offer a variety of services and programs for individuals and families of all ages, including worship services, Bible studies, youth groups, and community outreach programs. Join us as we strengthen our faith, serve our community, and grow together in Christ.

Our History

In May, 1941, the First Baptist Church’s Board of Deacons made recommendations to grant 40 or more members to establish and organize a church of their own. The contingencies were the church that would form would be affiliated and would cooperate with the Pulaski County Association of Kentucky Baptist Churches, The General Association of Kentucky Baptist Churches, as well as the Southern Baptist Convention. On June 11, 1941 members from First Baptist that wished to have their letters of membership moved so they could become members of Calvary Baptist were granted. Calvary became official on June 15, 1941. In 1959, Calvary finished the building that Calvary now currently uses.
